Walnut Honey

Type:
Jams and Spreads

I relish the surprise and the few moments of pleasure which pure simplicity can achieve. To quietly "blast" breakfast to an unexpected "WOW" level, take 3 and 3. That is 3 minutes to stir only 3 simple ingredients together. With its addictive crunch and exceptional flavour, my Walnut Honey is absolutely devine! Definitely it's a No Time - No Talent recipe.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup (250 mL) liquid honey
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) maple extract
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) coarsely chopped walnuts
Directions:
  1. Pour honey into a medium bowl. First, stir in extract thoroughly, and then carefully stir in walnuts.
  2. Store in a well sealed jar at room temperature for up to several weeks.
  3. Stir before using.

"WOW" TIP: Feel free to gradually add more chopped walnuts as the honey is consumed. (Note: Adding extra walnuts when preparing the recipe, makes stirring the "jarred" honey very difficult.)

Yield:
Makes 1 1/3 cups (325 mL)
